Are you planning on using some fullers earth (available at craft/hobby stores) to give it a more organic look, especially the recessed areas? This kinda looks like clone weathering and not necessarily TD weathering, IMO. |

The move along helmet doesn't have much helmet weathering. And that is fullers earth. |

I hate being blunt but...does the weathering suck or is it ok. I used fullers earth not paints. I need some opinions of multiple people. If its bad I'm gonna stop, I have people on MEPD saying it looks good then getting feedback that it looks like clone weathering. |

It is fullers earth which is probably why it looks (photo is bright) a little light handed in some areas. Maybe could use a bit more brown Fullers and some light acrylic to bring out the ears and general areas... IF you want to. I would apply to taste, per ref disc and pics. Weathering on that character is lighter and as a matter of fact again, the majority of the weathering is the Brown/Green chipping under material showing in spots which most "move along" troopers dont even apply. A Clone is CG and the weathering is largely based per character so would depend on which Clone. IF you were even going to do something like that. Doesn't look like one to me. It's obviously a TD. you have the ref DVD and the stills necessary so you do what you think Dave and don't let opinions keep you from doing what you want for your 1st TD costume. If you need a super critical opinion we can get together again and you ask the guys at MEPD as well for more constructive direction. IMO...support other people's creative efforts on these forums. |

It doesn't suck nor does it look like a clone. If MEPD says its good then don't sweat it and keep on truckin' dude. They and YOU will be your critical key in the end. 22ssplt wrote: I hate being blunt but...does the weathering suck or is it ok. I used fullers earth not paints.
