Hello everyone! I just wanted to start a thread that shows my journey with my first kit. I've never done this, so this should be good. Enjoy! I received my kit from jimmiroquai off the RPF. He sculpt the original builds and out sourced the copies. The material is something different. The outside is a smooth resin composite and the inside is fiberglass. There is almost no modifications needed to get this build going. I am in the process of sanding all of the insides down. In a few of my photos I show how flexible this material is. Some of the details seem to be lost in the process of however this armor was made, so you'll have to do some fancy dremeling, but the flexibility in that material is STELLAR!! You may actually be able to sit down and take a break while trooping, lol It'll be interesting to see how well the gloss paint will react to that amount of flexibility, however... Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to seeing more

So I started to play around with the forearms again. This may sound crazy but I put spakling on the insides to cover up the fibers and small voids. From there I will sand it all smooth and paint. I also just got some flexible automotive primer yesterday to try out. As I'm typing this my wife is sitting inside and we are expecting her water to break any time now so I may go silent for a bit. Also if anyone in the area has the Anovos FOTK I would love to meet up and compare. I need a "good" reference for some of the drilling that needs done. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

Wait!! That is how molded fiberglass appears. You won't want to use Spackle on the inside, it won't stick. You will want to use a fine bono or a SEM brand SMC plastic filler that works similar to bondo. Trust me, I've been doing body work/fiberglass repair for 30 years.

Well as suggested I will be going with bondo. I went out and got the gallon container cause it was only $15 at Menards. So if anyone needs some hit me up. Ok so my wife just gave birth to our first child so my progress has slowed down dramatically. I'll update when I can. So far all I've been able to do is sand down some areas that I needed to fill in. Ok i know its been a while but I was able to get a few hours in. Being a new dad and a farmer really takes my free time away. So far I have just been filling and sanding to try to get a smooth surface. Here is what I would call a finished set of biceps. Just needs washed and ready for primer. So these have been a pain. I have been working on resculpting the inner side of the forearm because I am picky about details. I ordered a set of forearms from Kevin but the vacuum form doesn't leave the sharp edges like the the rest of this molded sculpt. So for now I'm in the air. So here I am gluing up the shins. I am trying e6000 though some guys claim it doesn't work so well with this resin stuff. If it doesn't I'll just bust out my superglue I think. Here's the other shin after curing. Here I am sizing up one thigh and the other pic is a backside view of both. Some slight trimming and they should be good to go. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
