Good evening, folks! My name is Julio, self-designated FN-3087. I am a sophomore at Notre Dame and a supporter of the First Order. I met the NDG at the Hammes Bookstore Event on campus. I hope y'all are loving this Force Awakens craze. I am hoping to join the 501st as a First Order Trooper, but as a college sophomore, my resources are extremely limited. Hello Julio, You can come out to our events and help as a handler. Handlers help us get into costumes, get to and from changing areas. When the children aka adults get "handsie" who can help by asking them to stand down as well as take pictures for the guests. This gives you a get chance to meet members, talk about costumes and see how we get them on. Some costumes you can get as little as 2 to 3 hundred. We help each other out when building or info where to get parts for your costume. Check out the event section and see where we may be next. Hope to meet you soon! Curt |

Hello Julio, Good to see you here! Curt is correct - Handling at events is a good way to get involved and meet local members. It's good to watch the events page and then post a message letting us know that you plan to attend so we know to look for you. Some of the costumes (like the First Order Stormtrooper) are quite involved and it can help to see them in action before you commit to building one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
