Hey guys, long time fan of this group and what it stands for and a life long Star Wars fan. I'm from northern Indiana and I am currently working on my Kylo Ren costume. Its 90% done. All i need is to remake the belt to meet the 501st specs and get rid of the plastic "glass" in my helmet and I'm good to go. The belt i have attaches in the back and the requirements are for it to attach in the front hidden behind the belt piece. I'm also going to have the lightsaber holster 3d printed as the one i made is not up to par with my pickiness. Ive already attended a couple 501st gatherings as a outsider, just kinda like a lurker. Usually The four winds field gatherings. If you were there this year for the crappy rain i was the husky Kylo Ren walking around by himself lol. Ive attached a image we took with a few of the guys from the 501st below. Obviously I'm Kylo and my daughter was dressed as Rey. If i have the bladed one its a black series and i modified the blades to give it a more unstable look and a darker red to it. If its on my side its a modified hasbro i painted and weathered myself. Turned out really well. |
