I'm from Newton County, I am working on getting my first kit shipped. I am working out the details and hope to have it soon. I've been following the 501st for quite a while and hope to be a part of it, even if it is just a very small part.

I'm going on 47 this year, father of 3, step dad of 1, uncle to many, soon to be great uncle. I've been a Star Wars fan since I stood in line back in '77.

I've been a Marine, a Bladesmith, a Blacksmith, currently a Machinist for the past 22 years. This will be my first time working on a kit, eventually I would like to learn more advanced skills.

Greetings from Far West Indiana.

Welcome to the NDG. we have quite a few builds going on in the West side of the state so when you get your armor in let us know and we will let you know when we have an armor party setup. If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask

I was too young to be standing in line but I have very clear memories of a certain movie I saw as a 4 (almost 5!) year old in '77.

Welcome aboard!

I have been checking out the event forums both here and on the Bloodfin Garrison site. I noticed that a lot of the Bloodfin events are just as close or closer to where I live than some of the NDG events. Is there a lot of interaction between Garrisons for events?

I'm hoping to have my armor kit in hand within a couple weeks. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions then when reality sets in. :D

There isn't a whole lot of event cross-posting, but signing up for each other's events and visiting both sections of the state is highly encouraged. There are good people in both garrisons and good events to attend with them :)

I've always wanted to try my hand at blacksmithing. Do you still have a forge?

Oh, and welcome! :)

I still have all the equipment, unfortunately a few years ago I moved from a house in the country to a house in a small town. The location isn't good for pounding on an anvil. :(
