Hi guys, my name is Hunter and I hope to soon be a member of the 501st. I'm currently finishing up my Anovos TK kit in hopes to join on or shorty after my 18th birthday in September. In talking to the GML, Mark, he said I could post here and you guys could help me get my suit up to standards by my birthday. The only thing that I think I may have problems with it the thighs since I have so much return edge on either side of the cover strip. Other than that, I know the Anovos belt is not 100% accurate but don't know in what ways exactly it needs to be fixed or if it even does for levels lower than centurion. No boots yet but those are in the mail as I type this. Also, the shins seem to want to slide down a lot, especially the left one, how is my placement on those and can I/should I use straps to keep it up? No ab details on yet either, made a mistake in cutting the flange completely off instead of leaving it so I'm going to try to get a replacement. Does anyone happen to have an extra? Let me know if you need more photos!

The shims will rest on your boots. The edges on the center of the thighs should have had more trimming, or did you need that much extra room? Did you use any of the tutorials on whitearmor.net? What adhesive did you use? Don't worry, they can be trimmed easy enough.

Yea I thought those thigh edges could use some more. That's what I was referring to. As far as the extra room, I didn't need it. I just left a some room there since I knew it would be held up with strapping and it gives me more room to fit my hand in when attaching the Velcro. I did take a look at a lot of builds on white armor, especially uksraths. It was all glued together with E6000 so it shouldn't be too much work to get it apart. Thanks for the tips!

Welcome! I don't have a TK in my costume arsenal so I'm not much help on that front. However it looks good from my novice understanding.

As for the shins, like Mark said they do rest on your boots which helps from slipping, but I have also put a few blocks of foam on the inside to keep them even more stable. Also how tall are you? Since the Anovos kit is made for under 6 foot some of us taller troopers have issues with length and trying to keep the bottom over our boots and the top of the knee plate from going under the thigh. Troopermaster on white armor makes some extra long shins that I personally am planning on getting in the future.

I was able to get around to fixing my thighs today. Didn't get a chance to clean excess E6000 yet though. Here is the mistake I made on the ab details, I cut the flange off the larger piece.... whoops, guess I didn't realize what I was doing. Is there a possible fix or should I just try and pick one up on white armor. On a side note, boy does my painting look bad when blown up..... maybe I'll redo that.

What do you recommend I do about the ab detail issue?

I'm right around 6' 1" so I'm pushing that limit too. Might have to look into those extra length shins. I'll see when I get my boots

Welcome Hunter. TK's are fun and hard work putting together. Looks like your doing a good job. When doing TK's belt sanders are miracle workers.

Boots came in! When I put my shins on over them the fronts bunch up a little bit. Is this normal/acceptable? Or does this mean my shins are too small and I have to shim them? Got replacement ab details from ATA too so I should be all set within the next few days depending on if I need new boots.

You can take that return edge off, that may help.

I took the return edge off. Didn't change much. Should I try and exchange these for smaller boots?
